One more week till probably one of THE best experiences of my life! My suit case it packed (sorta) and my paper is.. getting there haha. I just don't have a ton of motivation for school related things when I don't have to have it! But in one week that will all change. My new best friend, according to Rik, one of my teachers and our leader, will be my Contemporary Europe book, how sweet? ;) And my sleek little Asus friend will by accompanying me all through Europe for me to type about all my experiences. I am going to be keeping a more personal written journal so I'll try to spare you the mushy details. As for now I'm going to start getting finished on my paper and you can look at some pictures of my lovely packing job!
This is my new little Asus (that I'm typing on right now! :D) He's been a babe with only one problem so far and it was only minor. This is my first notebook/net-book whatever you call 'em so I hope it works well! The camera seems to be really nice for such a small guy (almost more clear than my big computer! No joke!) And the internet connection has been great so far so we'll see how it works for international things.
My suit case A 21-inch Roll Aboard. From the Rik Steve's website, given to me by my very generous aunt Laurie Hill :) Enclosed for cloths for the next 5 months is 3 pairs of jeans (including the ones I'll be wearing), a pair black leggings, black dress pants for 'dress up' days, a black dress for nights out, a pair black tights, 10 socks, 15 underwear (though I have enough to probably last me 5 months haha), 4 tops/t-shirts, a pair of shorts and a pair of capri-pants for sleeping, a zebra/multi-print over shirt thing that will go with all outfits to mix it up a bit, 2 long sleeve shirts, 2 scarves black with flowers and one red, my rain coat that should work great with 50 degree weather they are having now! :D And that should be it for cloths!
Other things in the suit case are a pair of dressy flats, sandles for shower or hot days once I get to spring, a sleeping sack (also from Laurie its blue silk! So nice!!), a cloths line for washing cloths, two fast drying towels, two wash cloths, an umbrella for those rainy days, some health care things baniads and some medicine stuff, hair products (I've worked at a hair salon for 4 years! I need some), shampoo and conditioner, my hair straightener for days I feel like doing something, my makeup bag, a bag with other things like hair pins, nail clipper or other random things I can't bring on the plane, deodorant, tooth brush and paste annnd.. I can't think of anything else! And can you believe it its only just under 40 pounds haha! It feels like a lot but I really tried to bring thing I would only need for 5 months, its a long time!
Then for my carry on I'm bringing my school backpack with a smaller day pack inside for days I just need a few things like my camera and a notebook or something. In here I have my school books, only two thankfully, two notebooks, one will be used as a journal for a class, two planners, my travel guide, my purse will also hopefully fit in here which I will have my camera with its other memory card, battery and charger and my computer, iPod, money and some other smaller important documents. The larger ones I will keep in the backpack all together in a folder we get on the day we leave! Pens and pencils are also somewhere in there and a flashlight, adapters for different plug ins, and charger for computer. I also want to bring my drawing pad and some pencils but I am going to think about it more and debate weather I will use it enough to bring it and carry it also every day.
It seems like a lot but it also seems like such little for so long! Now to get finsihed on that paper of mine on Greece. That will be my next trip to Europe in 2013 its already planned :)
Ttyl!
